Mandatory Barbados National Standards

The Barbados National Standards System is a semi-integrated one where there is separation of standards development and standards enforcement. Under the Standards Act 2006-5, the BNSI is responsible for the development and facilitation of the implementation of standards, whilst the Government of Barbados, through the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, is designated with the enforcement authority.

The following standards have been proclaimed with mandatory effect by an order of the Minister according to the Standards Act 2006-5.
